31st ANNUAL CONFERENCE OF THE AUSTRALASIAN SOCIETY OF CLINICAL IMMUNOLOGY AND ALLERGY (ASCIA) 2-4 September 2020 | Melbourne Convention Centre | South Wharf | Victoria Australia
ASCIA has closely monitored the COVID-19 outbreak in relation to the ASCIA 2020 Conference, which was scheduled for the first week of September 2020 in Melbourne.
Given that the situation has rapidly evolved in Australia and New Zealand, we have decided to postpone the ASCIA Conference until September 2021, at the Melbourne Convention Centre.
The new dates will be Wednesday 1st to 3rd September 2021 for the ASCIA Conference, with the CFAR Symposium on 31st August 2021 and the ANZVASC meeting on Saturday 4th September 2021.
All of the work that has already been done in planning for the ASCIA Conference, CFAR and ANZVASC will be transferred to 2021, including the exhibition and sponsorship, which will be rolled over until then.
This will be the first time in 30 years that an ASCIA Annual Conference has been postponed, but ASCIA believes it is the best action to take, to ensure the health and wellbeing of the community.
It is a pleasure to invite you to participate in the ASCIA 2020 Conference, the 31st annual conference of the Australasian Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergy (ASCIA), in Melbourne, Victoria.
The ASCIA 2020 Conference will run for 3 days, from Wednesday 2nd to Friday 4th September 2020, and will be held at the Melbourne Convention Centre. This includes concurrent sessions for Nurses, Dietitians and Medical Associate ASCIA members on Friday 4th September 2020.
The conference will be held in conjunction with the Centre for Food & Allergy Research (CFAR) Symposium on Tuesday 1st September 2020 and the ANZVASC Symposium on Saturday 5th September 2020.
ASCIA annual conferences provide an international standard of continuing professional development and a unique opportunity to interact and collaborate with colleagues. These events are therefore a highlight of the year for ASCIA members and other health professionals working allergy, clinical immunology and immunopathology.
We look forward to your participation in the ASCIA 2020 Conference in Melbourne.
